Opening its doors in 1983 in Toledo, Ohio, the STAR Center is one of the top maritime training schools for inland and ocean-going professionals in the world.  With its current location in Dania Beach, Florida, this nonprofit educational center provides some of the most comprehensive and technologically-advanced training available today.  The Center currently offers more USCG and other approved courses than any other simulation training center.

The STAR Center dedicates itself to providing high-quality instruction at reasonable prices.  The coursework is tailored to each individual’s needs, as well as fully integrated to company and ISM standards.  The STAR Center also provides in-house modeling for port development, forensic maritime studies, and ship response models.

Lodging

Onsite accommodations are available for students attending courses at the Center.  All rooms are single-occupancy with ensuite facilities.  The fee for lodging is $130 per night, which includes three cooked meals daily during the week, and self-help meals on the weekends.  Guests can accompany any student for a fee of $30 per day, plus tax.
