This USCG Regional Exam Center (REC) pre-screens applications, conducts oversight of USCG-approved courses, administers examinations, and supports community outreach programs. Before scheduling an exam or applying for a credential at the Center, you must have a valid TWIC from the Transportation Security Administration (TSA).

Completed applications for credentials must be submitted through a monitoring unit or a Regional Exam Center, such as the Mandeville Center.  Applications may be submitted by mail, fax, in person with an appointment, or electronically (see this link to submit an application online).

For detailed information about the documents you will need, and preparing application packages, see the National Maritime Center’s Application Package page.
